It is with a heavy heart that I am having to sell on my project. A few things have changed for my wife and I and this is the wrong time in my life to be able to continue and I don't want the car sitting around at risk of tin worm.
It is a solid rear axle TR4A that I imported from the USA in 2015. Everything is legit and I have all the forms to show that it was cleared by customs etc. Once restored it can be checked over and easily assigned a number plate.
This would be a great project for someone who is capable of sorting out the body work. I had the body dipped and almost all of the replacement panels needed are there. Other panels could be restored and brought back to life.
The chassis is excellent, and there is one minor part that needs fixing where it got dinged during some work in a workshop, but it really is nice. The suspension is all there and the chassis rolls.
The engine has been rebuilt, increasing capacity up to 2. 2 L exactly and it's ready to go into the car. The crankshaft has been reground and balances with the fan and flywheel. The gear box has also been fully rebuilt with an A-type overdrive. It is also ready to be put in the car.
The only things this car doesn't have is the original bumpers as these were too rotten underneath to be used, or any interior trim/ seats.
This car has a lot of bits sorted and it won't take someone long to make a complete rolling chassis. This car has huge potential and I will be sorry that I couldn't finish it.
