1967 Ford Mustang Fastback. 302 V8 C code with T5 5 speed manual transmission, power steering, power brakes, air conditioning and front and rear lap belts.
Very regretfully selling my factory built 1967 Mustang fastback. I’d been looking for a car of this calibre for several years, so I’m absolutely gutted that I’m now in the position where (due to health reasons) I’m selling so that I can retire earlier than planned.
This is a true dry state car, and was therefore an excellent start to a professional restoration that was carried out in the USA. During the restoration the engine and gearbox were upgraded to a 302 roller block with T5 five speed gearbox and Hurst shifter. A Vintage Air system (R135a) that uses the original factory controls was also fitted and the sound system upgraded with a modern, original looking radio that also gives you USB and hands free phone capabilities and 4 speakers.
The repaint was done to an exceptionally high standard and was totally stripped of all panels, trim, glass etc. before being refinished in metallic grey (Ferrari Grigio Silverstone) with metallic silver dual stripes.
On the underside the original frame rails, floors, trunk drop off’s etc are solid and have absolutely no signs of any repairs, all the running gear has either been rebuilt or replaced, and the car rides on Torque Thrust alloy wheels and Michelin tyres.
A history file shows the two California owners and some receipts for the work carried out - over $16500 dollars in the work done during the engine and gearbox upgrade alone - and I also have a Marti report detailing the factory build date, supplying dealership and options (has the rare tilt away steering wheel option), and photographs taken during the paint process.
The car is of course MOT exempt, but I did have it inspected to give myself, and now any interested parties, some reassurance that the car is road legal (e. g. the rear lights have been changed for UK spec LED lights with amber indicators).
