Lotus Esprit S1
Supplied new by Bell and Colvill to KJ motors in Lagoon blue before being sold to John Cooper and painted black at his request when a year old.
The car remained black until 1989 when it was changed to white, during the mid 80’s it was converted to replicate the more desirable at the time turbo esprit.
I owned the car in the mid 90’s before moving it on to buy a turbo esprit. The car came back into my ownership 18 months ago where a restoration has begun mechanically. The car will require some chassis repair work at the front or a replacement if you feel so inclined.
This car has a massive history file with original stamped handbook, old MOTs, service records and piles of receipts. It even has the original price spec, all old logbooks and a workshop manual.
The price listed is for the car as is in turbo form with a standard 907 engine although I have various options for a perspective buyer having collected all the original parts to restore to full S1 specifications.
The car will be supplied with many new parts with much of the mechanical work complete.
