1951 Vincent Comet 500cc motorcycle, registration number YVS 445, purchased by the vendor in the 1980s as a project, comprising Rapide upper frame member, Comet rear frame and Comet engine. The work was completed circa 1993 and registered for the road that year. The vendor allowed his father, a lifelong Vincent enthusiast to enjoy it for a number of years, the bike returning to him around 5 years ago. In the last 5 years it's been ridden but not as much as the vendor would like, hence being offered for auction. He rode it up from near Chepstow to us at Stroud and had had a very pleasant run up, it sounded very sweet, rode around the carpark very nicely and looks a lovely useable example.
