There’s a reason why Porsche made a Tiptronic option, and a reason why they sold in such large numbers. The easy power of the 3. 6 and the smooth, adaptive transmission makes for such a nice combination; they should not be overlooked.
Generally very reliable, Tiptronics are a great choice for cruising and touring. Effortless performance, relaxed in town and easy in traffic. A great choice if your aim is to enjoy gentle, stress free and stylish motoring.
If your goal is to extract maximum performance from your classic, then the manual provides that, but the Tiptronic, once understood, can perform really well. In fact, during initial tests with the public, it was found that 8 out of 10 drivers were faster with the Tip…….
