I am looking to sell my 1965 Tartan Red MGB. Powder coated light grey wire wheels with original chrome central spinners. Black vinyl seats with red piping. Vinyl half tonneau and ‘double duck’ hood. Original steering wheel and gear stick.
FAV was the subject of a professional bare metal rebuild by Kim Cairns of Kings Lynn in 1998. Following further restoration work, I purchased FAV from Barry Pryke at SMR Classics Cars in May 2013. Four years of very enjoyable driving (with an appearance at a classic car event at Goodwood) FAV was then mothballed / dry stored from October 2017 to June 2022.
Full service history back to 2006 available, including details of all the work (diagnostics, full service, Class 4 MOT and safety checks) to put FAV back on the road (including four new tyres and new front brake discs and pads).
Bodywork, very good - but there is a small dent in near side front wing. Comes with Thor Copper & Rawhide Hammer (for the wheels), a Hayes manual (1981) and MGB Owners Handbook.
