Honda S2000, very low mileage 28, 400m, low owners, all original, mint condition.
This is an early – year 2000 – Honda S2000, identified by the black windscreen surround and with an annual road tax @ £280 not the very high £615 on the later cars! These early cars are the purest S2000 – as designed to showcase to the world Honda’s engineering excellence.
Registered in June 2000 the car was transferred to it’s S2000 vehicle registration from new i. e., S200 OCV, this number will stay with the car, and is worth £1, 500-1, 900.
The original owner was a total enthusiast and spec’d the car very well from new and that included a Honda S2000 tailored indoor car cover, soft top cover, fitted floor mats and metallic paint. The car comes with full red leather and leather covered steering wheel, Air Con and Electric Windows.
The first owner had the car from new until April 2021 just over 21 years and it was only used on dry days and used sparingly. You will see, from the MOT mileage check, however, that the car has been used steadily and not parked up for years.

The car has been serviced (11 times, with oil changes in between) @ Honda and a trusted local specialist, and recently had the valve timing clearances completed @ Red R Performance (July 2021). The car has 4 brand new matching Uniroyal tyres that are under 400 miles old, the diff oil was changed in 2021, along with the brake fluid and alternator belt.
The second owner brought the car in April 2021, and then traded it for a new Morgan, I purchased in in Feb 2022, directly from the Morgan Dealer.
The car has currently done 28, 480 miles was last serviced and MOT’d in Feb 2022 @ 28, 158. The oil and filter (genuine Honda filter of course) was changed again at 28, 400. The car has had 3 oil changes in 1, 100 miles (always top-quality synthetic oil).
This car is in absolutely fabulous condition, I looked at four S2000’s before this one and none were as nice inside, underneath or under the bonnet. Inside is like a 6-month-old vehicle and under the bonnet is likewise. All the consumable parts that have been replaced i. e., the battery (new in 2020) and the oil and air filters are genuine Honda and always have been! It has never been messed with....
All the painted suspension parts have no rust. It has just not been out in salty conditions. The body work is also superb with two small stone chips on the bonnet (it is 22 years old!) and all the panels are original. The car was HPI’d when I purchased it and is 100% clear.
The car has it’s original, electrically operated, soft top, again in superb condition and everything on the car works and operates as it should. The car is also still on its original Honda dealer number plates.
Importantly the car was featured in Classic Car Buyer magazine, in February 2022, and has a glowing ‘one to buy’ feature and is a sure-fire investment (magazine remains with the car)...... as a point of reference there are currently twelve Honda S2000's currently for sale on AutoTrader for more than £24k...
This car drives performs and rev’s as it should and course being a Honda is 100% reliable. I have been very surprised how relaxing it is to drive and then how thrilling it is when revved. I am a mature owner and have just carried on with the care and love the car has had (it sits in my garage under a car cover) and has not been out in the wet and only Super Unleaded has been used.
Reams of paperwork are included in the Honda folder – along with the original Bill of Sale the Honda Wallet/ manual and Warranty booklet, the car has two keys.
