Ford Escort Mk3 XR3 1984 RHD
Early XR3 Carbureted model imported from South Africa with All tax and duty paid showing 26951km on clock.
We will complete all the registration paperwork in the owners name but the vehicle will need an MOT before submitting the registration as its not 40 years old yet.
Interior is complete and front seats and rear are in great condition, although carpet is has wear to drivers foot well and rear well. Dashboard has cracks over it.
Door cards and rear parcel shelf all present although tailgate card is missing and someone has put some shaggy material on lower door card and rear speakers.
Gear stick needs new nylon Bush.
Boot lock is present but needs refitting.
White Alloy wheels fitted but comes with original South African XR3 alloys.
Boot carpet, jack, wheel brace all present.
Early XR3 shell with two bolt strut tops and short roof gutters. decent shell. Original wings, arches, sills , inner wings. Couple of dents underneath from jacking up but generally very good.
Paintwork is ok with a few nicks here and there, rear valence paint is cracking, small dent on both rear arches and some filler present on one arch. Underneath is solid all over, we can put it on ramp for further inspection if requested.
Engine bay is solid throughout.
Air filter downpipe is missing.
1600cvh with 4 speed box.
Mechanically it starts, runs and drives but will need a bit work to get it to a usable standard. As with any old car will need a good check over.
