1936 Alvis Crested Eagle Charlesworth For Sale

The Alvis Crested Eagle was introduced in May 1933 and was in production until 1939. Only 4 have survived of the 602 chassis ever built, making this stunning Alvis a very rare car indeed.
This car, nicknamed ‘Dignity’ by a previous owner is a Six-Light Saloon, one of the 6 dispatched on the 1st of October 1936 to Messrs & Hore of Newmarket. Her coachwork is by Charlesworth.
In the 1980s the car had a full ‘ground up’ restoration. The extensive works consisted of a full interior refurbishment including its Walnut and sumptuous Leather upholstery, complementing perfectly with its Burgundy over Black coachwork, all keeping to its original colour scheme.
This ‘ultra’ rare Alvis has only covered some 2798 miles since its restoration and has had only 6 former keepers. Furthermore she still has her original 2. 7 litre engine and synchromesh 4 speed gearbox, making it quite a find!
The car comes with a superb and very extensive history file giving a fantastic insight into the love and care that this car has enjoyed over its life so far. In addition included is very valuable and difficult to find in-depth information about this model.
Classic Motor Cars team of award winning craftsmen have recently at significant cost to the Alvis’s current owner completed a great deal of work on this beauty. This work will give the next owner the confidence that this car is in the best possible order to go forward into the future. A new owner will also enjoy a fresh MOT and our full CMC warranty.
‘Dignity’ is a very fitting nickname for this timeless beauty. She waits here at CMC for its next lucky custodian.
