For sale on behalf of my elderly father is "Rosie" a 1935 Rover fourteen six light saloon. Finished in Burgundy Over Black, with contrasting black wheels and having benefited from being dry stored during my families ownership, she still looks great and turns heads. Being the six light model there are additional windows that can be opened, and a half length sunroof that can be pulled back. ideal for these hot summer days or perhaps to be used as a wedding car?
The straight 6 Starts on the button and drives as to be expected of a car of this vintage with no untoward knocks or rattles. Has been used regularly for trips to and from sunday lunch and kept in a running/ working order and maintained accordingly. Even the Trafficators still function well. Fuel consumption is fairly reasonable as an added bonus. During ownership its had frequent oil changes and the valve clearances set.
The interior boasts original leather seats and wood work, with replacement carpets. The original wood tool kit tray and owners manual are both present, and again all the switches and dials work. Transmission is a 4 speed manual.
Ideally she could do with some attention, the tyres are past their best, theres a few marks in the paint and some trim ideally need re fixing.
However overall this is a good solid example of british engineering and a real symbol of how once Rover where engineering marvels.
Viewing is highly recommended due to the nature of the vehicle.
