1980 Citroën CX Pallas
This car was built in France and spent most of it's life in Hungary. The film company, TLO, who have been supplying action vehicles to the TV and Film Industry since it was established in the 1950's, bought and imported the car to the UK where it was used in the BBC crime drama, “The Serpent”.
The car’s original colour was Sable d’Ore (gold) with brown leather interior. For the BBC show the outside was professionally resprayed Peugeot Bleu de Prrovence (metallic blue) and the interior cream. We think it looks rather fetching, but you can judge for yourselves by looking at the pictures. The bodywork and chassis are rock solid with only a small area detected on the pre’MoT inspection on the floor under the driver’s side requiring repair (nothing structural). The hydraulics and brakes all work as they should and the electrics as far as we can see, are all operational. The interior whilst addressed for the TV series, could do with some tidying up and the heater blower is intermittent, Low mileage believed genuine (63K miles).
There are not many of these models left on the road that are in this condition, and I wonder when you last passed another. An ideal running refurb project or continue to enjoy as-is. The Ultimate "Panscraper", that comes with a desirable period Thule roof rack.
The current owners bought the car from TLO in Nov 2021, and set about re-commissioning and registering it for the UK. As a historic vehicle it is road fund licence & MoT exempt and starts, runs and stops fine.
