Description
This beautiful 1963 Rolls Royce Silver Cloud III Long-Wheelbase SCT100 by James Young is one of just 112 RHD, long wheel-base cars built and is presented in its original two-tone specification of Black over Oxblood with a Biscuit Connolly leather interior.
A wonderful example of one of Rolls Royce’s most iconic models, this car was supplied new through Jack Barclay Ltd in July of 1963. The car’s first owner was a wealthy textile industrialist from Manchester and also a patron of the Royal Court Theatre. Interestingly, he was married to the daughter of Michael Marks – the co-founder of Marks & Spencer.
By the 1990’s the car was in the possession of a wealthy family in Jersey and subsequently sold by RM at auction to the father of the current owner in 2010. After a full service by Rolls Royce specialist The Chelsea Workshop, the car was shipped to Hong Kong where she was fastidiously maintained and regularly seen at classic car events.
Accompanying the car is a comprehensive folder of very early and more recent history.
In its current state the car would benefit enormously from minor corrective work, but it is realistically priced to reflect this and would no doubt bring great pleasure to its next custodian.
