Ariel 1952 VH 500 Red Hunter single with rigid tail and telescopic forks.
It is in extremely good used condition with Ariel Works records verifying matching engine and frame numbers.
Current speedo recording nearly 12700 miles covered since total restoration in 1997. I purchased it in 2007.
The bike has good compression and runs and rides beautifully.
Recently fitted new clutch, primary and final drive chains, valves, guides and springs, re sleeved and refurbished period carb and new fork bushes and seals.
Works records state that this 1952 model year Ariel was dispatched to Barton Motors in Bristol on 27/ 12/ 1951.
In Feb 2002 The Classic Bike Guide magazine featured this very bike in a road test and in depth review covering seven pages. In 2022 it was awarded best single and solo machine at the Ariel Owners Club national rally.
Included are 14 old MOT’s and tax discs adding to the machine’s provenance.
