Back in 1965 Lancia launched the beautiful Fulvia Coupe as a response to the well known ”Bertone” models of Alfa Romeo. Contrary to Alfa the Fulvia was designed with front wheel drive and many of the fine minor details, which characterized Lancia before FIAT took over. This example is a Series 2 distinguished by the nice chrome front.
The car origins from Italy and came to Denmark in 2018. It is very original and unspoiled in its nice Rosso York paint and it is obvious that good care was taken of the car since it left the factory in March 1971. The interior is in very nice condition and completes the impression of a true time pocket of which not many are left.
Behind the wheel you are surprised by the ease and speed of which the Fulvia moves around in the traffic. After all the carrying weight to move around is not huge. The 5-speed “dog-leg” box works nicely and the crispy engine is eager to rev and actually delivers a bit of torque as well even though the capacity of the engine is only 1, 298ccm. It develops a healthy 90 bhp and the double Solex carburetors ensure a nice sound. Combined with the elegant design and quite airy and welcoming cabin the Fulvia feels like a real gentleman GT car. All in all a super authentic car, which will provide plenty of joy for its new owner.
