EXTERIOR
Finished in a stand out shade of Red Wine metallic, only available from 1981-1982, this SC sits in it’s original factory colour and offers a fairly unique period proposition given the enormous popularity of paint-to-sample options available today. This example has been treated to a full respray in L895 Weinrot and has been subtly enhanced with both Carrera script writing and cup mirrors that look totally at home against the elegant paintwork. Gently prepared by our in house team, this 911 presents in fantastic order with rubbers and trims also showing well despite the cars age.
However, this is no normal SC with subtle styling, mechanical modifications and power now provided by a non varioram 993 unit – as illustrated by the purposeful 3. 6 badge on the rear deck lid.
INTERIOR
The cabin space is unmistakeably Porsche with that now familiar blend of form and function straight from the 80’s – no frills with clean and crisp instrumentation. The interior is largely original with the exception of some supportive lightweight sports seats from a 968 and an all important OEM cup holder that hides neatly under the passenger dash. No radio or AC although there is a sunroof to ensure some touring capability alongside 2 x 12v charging sockets.
The perforated headlining is clean and taut from front to back whilst mats and carpets are clean throughout.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
At the heart of this fantastic 911 sits a 3. 6 993 engine providing both significant character and performance further enhanced by Phoenix based resto mod specialists – Patrick Motorsport. The increased capacity offers incredible elasticity across the rev range with excellent torque ensuring day-to-day driveability isn’t compromised.
An upgraded 3. 2 oil cooler, brand new engine wiring harness and ECU updates from renowned air cooled specialist Wayne Schofield ensure robust and reliable running.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
The traditional staggered Fuchs wheel set, 7 inch in front and 9 inch to rear, present superbly with un-spoilt polished lips and black centres. Matching ContiSportContact rubber sits on all four corners offering superior grip in both wet and dry conditions.
In order to cope with the increased performance the braking system has been upgraded to 930 Turbo specification. The brakes perform very well; easy to modulate and with excellent feel they show plenty of life across both disc and pad.
HISTORY FILE
Built in 2008, this unique SC has been sympathetically modified to offer a credible performance upgrade without compromising on-road manners. Engineer owned, the car is in excellent health mechanically and was also treated to a full respray in early 2022.

With a rare factory colour, narrow body and improved braking, suspension and engine characteristics this 911 variant ticks many if not all the Resto Mod boxes; the 3. 6 badging certainly makes the car look more of a Super Carrera than the manufacturer intended!
