Description
This is a unique Historic VW recreation which was started 11 years ago and recently been completed by me so it has only covered about 500 miles.
The original uncut chassis has been restored and the original 1600cc single port rebuilt engine has been retained, so the vehicle has matching numbers.
The engine has a full chrome dress up kit including the generator and starter motor
The wheels are 5 stud " Porche" SSP 17 inch 7J "Foosh " with Porche centre caps. New tyres were fitted with the wheels
It has EMPI disc brake conversions on all 4 wheels and adapter plates from 4 to 5 stud.
Adjustable shock absorbers all round with chrome springs give it high ground clearance.
Fitted with new twin EMPI 34 EPC carbs with EMPI air filters and Twin EMPI ceramic coated Thunderbird cannon exhausts
Mirror polished Stainless Steel 5 gallon racing style petrol tank
The original back seat has been re-upholstered
EMPI steering wheel, 2 sets of rwin horns, and lots of gauges together with lots of chrome lights and mirrors compliment the styling . Probably best described as a Sand Rail with a very smooth and comfortable drive... lots of fun
It is a most unusual creation and attracts loads of attention wherever it goes.
The vehicle is registered, insured and taxed (free historic) in my name
