Description
1929 Morris Oxford Doctor's coupe
A rare example of the Flat Nose doctor's coupe, the 3/ 4 hardtop coupe recieved its nickname because of the space behind the seat in which the Doctors could keep his little black bag.
OU1534 has the original engine and chassis, previously restored in the 1990's and was part of the Donald Ridgley pre-war collection. Purchased by the previous keeper in 2008 who carried out an engine rebuild in 2002, this included replacing the cylinder liners and fitting new pistons, regrinding the crankshaft, suppling second hand conrods, fitting new big end bearings and main bearings.
Finished in Dark Red with black roof and black wings, nice maroon interior with matching Dickie seats in the rear.
Starts and drives very well, good tyres and brakes, recently overhauled carburettor and the Dynostart fully reconditioned
