This car is in immaculate condition throughout – A rare non sunroof car, with working air conditioning and full sports leather. If you are looking for a rust free E30 Sport, you will not find a better example !!
Here at Old Colonel Cars, the Classic and Performance Car Agency, we are delighted to have this outstanding example of one of the most sort after classic BMW’s, the e30 325 Sport. This low owner, 1990 example is a Mtech II example, with only 92, 000 miles. Featuring the sports auto gearbox, this 325 Sport drives and performs perfectly. I know this example very well, I sold it to the previous owner around 7 years ago, and the previous owner was a very good customer of mine. In fact we can trace the owners all the way back to new.
With the price of the 325 sports rising, this naturally brings alot of poorly restored examples to the market, some restored more than once, possibly just to look good for sale. I’ve turned away many examples that need lots of money spending on them, only to see them reach very high prices at auction soon after. You know that someone then has alot of money to spend very soon after.
Well this E30 is something very rare to find now, what makes this E30 stand out from the rest is its all original panels, all original sills, jacking points etc. A rust free E30, all solid metal arches etc. It was repainted a few years ago, unavoidable on a 32 year old Black car, but there was no rust, just the odd mark here and there. All the body kit has been off and its all original underneath, none of the usual repair panels, replacement sills etc, it’s amazingly original. The paintwork remains in excellent condition now, a really outstanding example.
Look closer, look in the boot, all just as well presented. Look in the engine bay, it looks superb. An original rust free battery tray, all the soundproofing is still present, even the exhaust manifold heat shield (often missing or broken up), is all present and correct.
Now, yes this car is an auto. We will get the normal ‘if only it was a manual’.. Well the auto gearbox really does suit this engine, and they generally seem to be the better cars. They went to more careful owners when new, less thrashed etc. As a modern classic to use and enjoy, the auto makes perfect sense, really does kick down well and is great for cruising around.
Specification
This E30 comes with a lovely specification. It has the usual electric windows, electric mirrors, power steering, sports seats, rear seats with head rests, on board computer, remote central locking / alarm etc. A very rare option this car benefits from is air conditioning. This has been converted to use modern gas and still works as it should. Also this E30 features both the S200 cat delete option and the S209 limited slip diff option.

Finished in Diamond Schwarz Black metallic. As you will see from all the pictures and videos, this car looks amazing. A deep all over shine, no dings or dents. It’s would look good at any show or in any collection.
Underneath the car looks just as good. Lovely sills, jacking points, fuel and brake lines. It presents very well Underneath and it’s clear to see all original.
The sports leather interior is again is superb condition. The leather on the seats as you can see is excellent, perfectly soft and unworn, as are the door cards, dash, headlining etc. Its comes with the original, deep pile overmats.
The original 15inch BBS alloys are all unmarked. No curbing, no corrosion, all fitted with matching tyres.
Engine / Gearbox
The 2. 5 straight six engine runs and performs perfectly. Nice and quiet from cold, super smooth tick over, very responsive when pushed. All the levels are correct. I have driven plenty of these, I can quickly tell when a 2. 5 engine has all the power it should, I can confirm this engine certainly does.
The automatic gearbox, with its switchable sports mode, again sounds and performs perfectly. This was the most popular option when new , its very responsive, holding in the gears longer and kicking down quicker in sports mode.
This car is completely standard apart from 1 upgrade. The current owner has spent a small fortune having a stainless steel exhaust made for this car, with some beautiful exhaust manifolds (see engine bay picture, they are a piece of art). Designed to sound completely stock and they will last the life of this car …
History
The service history with this car is excellent. So many Sports had patchy history, many owners etc. Well this car has a fully documented service history from new, from the original sales invoice to the current day. We have a the original manuals, a fully stamped original service book, a well organised folder containing all service receipts, old mots etc.
