Bursting onto the M scene in 2020, the M2 CS became an instant success with both owners and the press alike, winning Evo’s Car of the Year award for 2020. Unapologetic, focussed and extremely capable, the CS took the standard M2’s winning formula and turned everything up to 11, bringing with it instant ‘Legend’ status. The S55 Motorsport engine produces nearly 450bhp and over 400 lb. ft of torque, but it’s the whole package – the handling, balance and responsiveness, that makes the CS such a serious piece of kit. Inside, the M2 CS is awash with alcantara, carbon fibre and custom stitching, all of which make the cockpit a very special place to be. From the outside, you’re left in no doubt of the intentions of this car, with its extra air dams and spoilers, that stance, and CS-only gold 19”rims finishing off the look.
This particular car is presented in stunning Misano Blue, which really does look fantastic. Since its 2021 build, it has not really done much but change hands twice, thus still showing delivery mileage – 68, to be precise. As a DCT version, it will outrun the manual to 60mph by . 2 of a second, and anybody in any doubt of just how good BMW’s DCT (manual) gearbox really is only needs to drive it to be convinced. This particular CS also comes with the desirable (and pricey) carbon ceramic brake option.
