For sale is my 1963 Messerschmitt KR Cabriolet.
This a UK delivered machine that was sold new in Taunton in 1963 making it one of the last Messerschmitt’s before production ended.
I have owned this car for twenty odd years. When I was searching for a car pretty much most were welded up worn out examples. They all had various bodges and hacks inflicted on them and most had lost their matching number frame and power unit.
After much looking this machine came my way. An unrestored rust free un-welded example with all matching parts. The best aspect was the original optional faux python skin interior which was and remains in really great condition.
I have both sets of keys together with the original handbook, brochure Karotips which is the “Schmitt workshop manual. I have maintained it money no object.
The car drives superb and I have a stack bills/ history for all work carried out. A rust free original UK Drophead KR is a very rare thing and this one is stunning.
