The Lancer Evolution V RS was stripped down of all unnecessary equipment aiming for professional teams to convert into a grade A competition car.
The RS gearbox has closer ratios (gears 3, 4 & 5) compared to the GSR gearbox for better acceleration. This limits the top speed of the RS model to around 140mph while the 0-60 time is a fraction faster than that of the GSR.
The
RS model doesn’t have ABS or Active Yaw Control and the car is generally
between 70kg and 100kg lighter
Although not verified it is believed that no more than 600 Evo V RS were manufactured in 1998 which leaves for consideration how many are actually still in existence.
This vehicle is a fresh Japanese import coming from the inland side of Nagoya which is known for a nice dry climate. As the images detail the undercarriage is as from the factory with no previous welding and is as pristine as you will find one in original untouched condition.

The vehicle cam from Japan with a none standard front bumper which we will be exchanging for a factory original.
Although it has an aftermarket Cat back exhaust system in the pictures, it also came with its original which has now been fitted.
We will also be replacing the clutch before the sale along with a cam belt and water pump change plus a full PDI Inspection and service.
This RS will come fully UK registered and 12 Months MOT complete with a full Comprehensive parts and labour warranty.
