Rover 2000 - Corsica Blue - Tax exempt. This car was fitted with a reconditioned TC engine 4years ago which is in good condition with healthy oil pressure. Stays cool in traffic with no signs of overheating. The car drives very well and pulls up straight, currently the carbs are slightly out of balance so could use being reset at some point. The exhaust was replaced 3yrs ago and should be alright but is blowing slightly near the manifold and will need a bit of welding next year.
The base unit on this car is stunning with no traces of welding or any required or advised in the future at the MOT. It has obviously been cherished in its previous life. The car has been painted in the past which is still nice and shiny, not a concours job, but presentable with a few blemishes that let the body down. All wings are great and I would imagine were replaced when the car was painted. No rust there can be seen on these. The doors are on the whole good. Really just some reaction and chips on the bonnet and a minor ding on the drivers door let the body down. The rubber window seals are quite cracked and new ones come with the car but havent been fitted yet, also a passenger rear window window winder needs repairing and another one is provided but not installed. 3500 V8 wheel trims have been put on the car and set it off a treat. The chrome is good and shines up nicely with the exception of the rear showing rust starting to appear. Handles good as are the door mirrors, and has to have the straightest roof aerial I have seen! The interior is buckskin leather with no rips but the drivers side has seen most wear and is a little dirtier than the others with some signs of stitching beginning to come loose as can be seen in pics. The carpets are in great condition, only the drivers showing more signs of use. Dash board has warped a little over the years - a common problem with these cars. The rare optional rev counter pod is provided although is not installed at the moment. There is a modern CD player and rear shelf speakers (no holes have been cut anywhere!) included in the sale. Great to take now as a daily driver or summer car and a little bit of work here and there would add the finishing touches. Comes with 12mth MOT and all paperwork present and correct, viewing welcome just telephone in advance. Don't wait too long as it must go soon.
