An outstanding example of the 911 SC, this low mileage Targa Sports in Minerva Blue with matching colour-coded Fuchs wheels and full blue leather interior must be one of the best available. A “fair weather and dry only” car it has been owned by me for 30 years, covering just 14, 000 miles in that time. A PCGB member for 30 years, I have an extensive history file including MOTs, Servicing, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity and the original Service / Owners handbook. The personal number plate (with the 1983 Registration Year prefix, and specific to a 911 Targa) is included with the car.
First registered in August 1983 and with current mileage of 85, 300, MOT 17/ 07/ 23. With a regular and extensive service history, in 1997 it had a documented odometer change (supported by MOT records on either side of the change) and I still have the original odometer which shows 79, 337 miles. The car now shows 5, 904 miles. In excellent overall condition and driving superbly, a full engine re-shell was carried out at 81, 300 miles together with a new clutch, piston rings, cylinder head studs and flywheel amongst others. The Targa bar was refurbished at the same time, as was the internal lining of the roof. Since then, the rubber seals have also been replaced.
At 82, 900 miles, the leather seats were completely retrimmed by Southbound Trimmers to original specification and the most recent major service was carried out recently at 84, 300 miles. Inside the boot all original equipment is still present - the jack, tool kit and the electric tyre pump for the space-saving wheel.
UK-registered cars and motorbikes on Car & Classic are run through an online HPI check. On the HPI report, this vehicle shows no insurance database markers for damage or theft and has no finance owing.
