SOLD AWAITING COLLECTION
Unfortunately have to sell my Capri, which is near the end of the restoration. It needs to be finished off, as I no longer can afford to. Doesn't need alot of bodywork doing, just sone finishing touches, and paint. Has a small block V8, with box, prop, and axle. Will need an exhaust made. Wheels and new tyres are also with the car.
Is fitting with a hand made Mk2 X-pack made from steel... not fibreglass. Has had a new roof skin, new strut tops again made fresh. As said lots of new steel and hand crafted parts.
Alot of subtle modifications... wheels and custom made wheel spacers, X-pack, petrol filler behind rear numberplate. The work that has gone into it by the guy doing it is 2nd to none, no expense has been spared by us and anything not available has been hand crafted from steel.
Was a unique car before the restoration started, and will definitely be after finishing.
90% of the interior is with me in essex, stored safely, and will be dropped off/ sent to the new owner, along with log book and spare keys I have.
Has been on TV in Ashes to Ashes, in Vogue magazine and various issues of Classic Ford over the years, as well as being well known on the capri circuit.
It is also one of not many 'E' plate capria still left. Chance to own only the 2nd Mk3 capri as I'm aware, with a hand made X-pack kit from steel!
The pics do not do justice to the amount of skill used by my current restorer who is known on the capri circuit. Any bodywork section not available was hand crafted from steel, all rust has been cut out and replaced with said new steel sections.
As far as I am aware (to be confirmed) an exhaust system will need to be fabricated, small part of one front wing slightly adjusting and the engine will need attention as hasn't ran in over 3 years.
Current colour is black, and my Facebook page(on request) has lots more information when it 1st left to go to my current restoration guy. My capri is unique, and breaks my heart to sell, but I have other priorities that need greater attention.
Including myself 4 owners.. I've had the capri since Oct 2006. I have every MOT apart from 2 upto 2014 when it went to Steadspeed Restoration in The Orkneys, which is where it is, and will need transportation from there.
I have tax discs as well, original service book from DOP, and alot of history prior and from ownership. Purchased privately from Kent, kept by me in Essex, various shows and competitions entered, Classic Ford spreads, TV and magazine also.
Obviously won't have an MOT! It is currently SORN by myself. If I've missed anything.. please feel free to contact me and I will help as best as I can.
