We are delighted to offer this very rare Ford Capri Mk3 3. 0S, finished in its factory-supplied Signal Yellow and believed to be one of the earliest Mk3 examples produced.
We first handled this car earlier in the year, at which time it was offered requiring recommissioning and found a new owner almost immediately. Due to a subsequent change in circumstances, that owner made the car available again, and we were pleased to have the opportunity to repurchase it.
Having previously debated whether to sell the car as it was or undertake a full refurbishment, we elected to proceed with a comprehensive refurbishment programme upon its return. The vehicle has now completed its time in our bodyshop, where it has received a full repaint, and is presented to a very high standard. It now requires only final servicing and an MOT prior to sale.
This Capri was factory supplied in Signal Yellow, a colour which suits the car exceptionally well and sets it apart from more common examples. The interior remains in excellent condition, the car drives very well, and it is very solid underneath. The headlining is excellent, and the vehicle has been finished with new stripes and decals as part of the refurbishment.
We hold records of all previous owners, and during our earlier ownership we were contacted by one of the car’s earliest owners, who kindly supplied period photographs of the car.
We have already had a handful of professional photographs taken and will be commissioning further photography shortly after Christmas. A selection of images taken recently are included here.
Once the final servicing and paperwork are completed, this will be a particularly fine and distinctive example of the Mk3 Capri 3. 0S.
