A great man once said ask a man in the street what a Volvo looks like and he would be thinking of a 240. That might not be quite so true these days but the 240 is still the car that built volvos reputation as a manufacturer of strong, safe and reliable cars that could do millions of miles.
This 240 came to me as a non runner. The previous owner had spent a lot of money on recommishoning the car but failed to get it running. They did a full service and rebuilt most of the suspension.
I have had the fuel pump replaced for the correct type, new harmonic balancer fitted, new head gasket and cylinder head refresh plus a good working injection metering unit fitted. It now runs perfectly and ready to use.
Body is solid but does have some cosmetic issues that could do with sorting to bring it upto standard. The work needed is reflected in the price.
This car is ready to go and could be put into daily use or a great weekend car that you can gradually tidy up and improve.
