Very nice 1989 Volvo 240 GL – 117, 800 km from new
Sportwagen Paris presents this very attractive Volvo 240 GL, first registered in January 1989 and exceptionally well cared for.
Over 37 years, it has covered just 117, 800 km—an average of around 3, 200 km per year. A particularly low mileage for a Volvo 240, whose progression can be traced thanks to a substantial file of invoices as well as the complete set of its MOT records.
Its original service booklet and manual are also present, rounding out a particularly interesting history for a car of this age.
The condition of this example is undoubtedly one of its biggest assets. The bodywork still wears its original paint and has never been resprayed. The underbody is solid and in good shape, with no corrosion.
The interior is likewise in remarkable condition, close to new, with upholstery, trim pieces and equipment showing virtually no signs of wear. A level of preservation that has become increasingly hard to find on a 240 from this generation.
This GL version was only used in good weather in Sweden, which helps explain its overall condition and the excellent preservation of its bodywork.
Under the bonnet you’ll find the 2. 3-litre four-cylinder engine producing 116 hp, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox. A simple, tried-and-tested mechanical setup that gives the 240 great versatility—equally suitable for everyday use or covering long distances in comfort and confidence.
