The Jaguar name is mythical and there is no doubt that the XK120-150 models have contributed to this. First introduced at the Earls Court Motor Show in 1948, the XK120 caused quite a stir with its sporting appeal and speed performance unrivaled for the time. The myth didn't diminish because the XK cars won Le Mans in 1951, 1952 and 1953.
Our XK 140 SE Fixed Head Coupé has an exciting and documented history. According to the Jaguar Heritage Certificate, the car was produced on June 15, 1955 and then shipped to the United States. The car was imported to Denmark on June 19, 1989 and registered in Denmark for the first time in 1991.
Later, the then owner decides that the car needs a longer full restoration, which is carried out by one of Denmark's most recognized specialists. There is detailed material attached documenting that this is indeed a complete and very expensive restoration. Due to special circumstances the restoration was first completed in 2017 and the car is now being re-registered and has driven very little since then.
According to Jaguar Heritage Certificate mentioned, this is an option (SE) model with matching numbers – engine and gearbox.
