For sale here is my 1977 Suzuki GS 550, which I restored in 2018. I stripped the bike right back to the frame, and had it shot-blasted and painted. I then put it back together using all new bearings, bushes, and seals etc. The bike was rebuilt using many brand-new parts, including new wheels built by Central Wheel Components, a custom-built seat using the original seat base, and Hagon rear shock absorbers. The side panels and tank were professionally painted to a high quality in Ford Focus ST metallic orange.
The carbs were taken apart, cleaned and rebuilt using a refurb kit. The engine was running extremely well, so I decided not to rebuild it, but the oil and filter were changed, and the gaskets on the external covers were replaced. The exhaust was retained, as were the original clocks, as they were still in good working order and look so cool and of the period.
The bike runs and rides really well, and I have covered about 1, 500 miles on it in the last 5 years.
