Descripción
1975 MG B V8 Roadster project car.
Snowberry White with red leather interior and matching mohair hood.
The conversion of this MG B Roadster was completed in 2013. There is an extensive history file with the car which commences from that time and details considerable expenditure.
BLMC never made an MG B V8 Roadster so this car, like all similar cars, is a conversion. It is powered by a 3. 5 litre Rover V8 fitted with a Holley carburettor, Facet fuel pump and five speed gearbox. In such a light car the V8 engine provides ample performance and is good fun to drive. It is correctly registered and classified as an historic vehicle.
The car is let down by its paintwork and it needs repainting. We have not got time or space to undertake this so we care selling the car as it is. It also has an oil leak from the rear main and the wiper motor needs replacement.
Underneath the car is very solid and the engine bay presents extremely well. The main section of the exhaust is stainless steel.
The car has a good stance and sits of Minilite type wheels shod with Goodyear Efficientgrip performance tyres.
Similarly, the interior is in very good condition. New veneers have been fitted to the centre console and glovebox lid. The wood rimmed Moto Lita steering wheel is a nice touch.
The boot is fully carpeted as is the spare wheel cover. There is a black vinyl hood bag.
Recently the car has been fitted with a new battery and the starter motor has been rebuilt. New stainless steel seatbelt guides have been fitted also, to replace the plastic ones which often break.
The MG is offered as a project and offers huge potential for the new owner to take it to the next level.
