This stunning Mercedes-Benz 300SL (R107) was supplied new by Mercedes Benz dealer The Newgate Motor Company Ltd in Chester and first registered on 10th March 1988.
It is finished in the beautiful and rare Anthracite Grey Metallic (172) with a full Grey Leather interior, a new Black Mohair Soft Top, Factory Hard Top in Grey, Grey carpets, Electric and Heated Door Mirrors, Electric Windows, Heat insulating Glass, Heated rear window in Hard Top, Central Locking, new Blaupunkt Barcelona 270 Stereo with Bluetooth, with electric aerial, 2962cc S6 Fi Engine, Automatic Transmission, Power Steering, ABS Brakes, Stainless Steel Exhaust and its original 15" Flat-Face Alloy Wheels with Dunlop SP Sport Tyres.
Notable expenditure: In August 2017 a previous owner spent £11, 679. 33 with the SL Shop on various mechanical works and new parts including: a new Soft Top, full underbody wax treatment, new shock absorbers, new Brake Discs and pads, new Power Steering Pump, new Radiator and Water Pump, new Suspension and Anti-Roll bar bushes, an Automatic Gearbox service, new front Subframe Bushes, various weather seals, new body mouldings, Hard top repainted and a full service - copy shown in the documents attached. It was then sold by the SL Shop to the next owner in May 2018 for £36, 500.
The car comes with a fully comprehensive Service History from new including a fully stamped service book with 22 stamps - the first 11 from Mercedes Benz main dealers and the remainder by specialists, a huge folder of invoices for all works carried out and all MOT certificates from its first one in 1991 through to date + an MOT print out. It is also clear on all HPI Registers and the National Mileage register. The Speedometer was replaced back in 2004 with 83, 066 miles recorded and this is documented in the service book and on an invoice in the history file. The current speedo reading is now 18, 517, so it has covered a genuine 101, 583 miles from new! It also comes with its original drivers Manual and two sets of keys.
This car is in beautiful condition throughout and can perhaps only be criticised for a couple of stone chips, but other than that it is as good as it looks in the photographs and really is lovely to drive. It is arguably finished in one of the best colour schemes for this model and consequently highly desirable.
Upon sale, the car will be given a new MOT, pre sales service and it will come with our own 6 month mechanical warranty which can be upgraded and extended at additional cost if required.
