This EVO 8 Is an extremely find, there cant be many of these that have only had one owner from new can there?
So lets start at the beginning, the cars owner had decided that after 6 years of happy Subaru Impreza ownership it was time to try its main rival (which he clearly thought was a better car having kept it for 19 years!!)the then latest generation of Evo the Evo 8, he had placed an order for a new Evo at a bargain price of £21k (apparently back then these cars had huge reductions because they weren't selling as well as dealers had hoped , hence the relative rarity these days)at a Mitsubishi dealer but then his local dealer offered and extra £1000 discount if he bought their pre reg car so this is what he decided to do , strictly speaking this is a 2 owner car i suppose.
This car is an absolute credit to its owner and the car has wanted for nothing , the history file is an inch thick and includes the original bill of sale , all old MOT's various service and maintenance invoices . the original Ralliart wallet are still with the car as is the all important fully stamped service book and both sets of keys , one of which has never been used. The dealer number plates, window sticker and Tax disc holder are all still in place
Whilst the car has been used sparingly only covering 58k in its 19 years the owner did take the car on a track days but as the value of the car began to increase again other cars took over and this remained largely unused for the last 8 years racking up around 1000 miles per year.
The car is mostly standard , it has been remapped, has a Miltek exhaust and free flow mushroom filter , the brakes have also been upgraded to 2 piece front brake discs and racing pads which are absolutely amazing but are very noisy for the road at low speeds , if track days are not your thing then fast road pads maybe better for you.
Premium parts have always been used and the car is currently running Millars Nanodrive oil. Just had 4 new Good Year tyres fitted this week.
The car has recently undergone an underbody inspection at Mitsubishi to check for corrosion , coming away with a clean bill of health only highlighting surface rust.
I doubt there is another Evo available with these credentials , the owner has even supplied a notebook listing every tank of fuel the car has had from day 1!!
The interior is almost as new , the seats are in beautiful condition , dash and door cards are equally as good with only slight discolouration to the door grab handles.
