Around two years ago, the interior underwent a transformative restoration. This encompassed the installation of brand-new, high-quality tan leather seats adorned with exquisite diamond stitching, complemented by fresh carpets and sound dampening. Furthermore, the headrest speakers were upgraded to enhance the audio experience. This meticulous interior refurbishment amounted to an expenditure of £3, 000, guaranteeing an ambiance of refined luxury.
In terms of maintenance, every aspect has been diligently handled by myself—a seasoned car mechanic with over a decade of experience, currently affiliated with a Toyota main dealership. Throughout my career, I have also worked with prestigious brands such as Jaguar, Land Rover, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Mazda, Honda, and many more.

Allow me to outline some of the notable repairs and upgrades undertaken on this remarkable little car.

Engine:
Recent oil change performed at 130, 000 km, using a genuine Mazda OEM filter.
Spark plugs replaced approximately 15, 000 km ago.
New water pump, including a thermostat, thermostat housing, heater core, Japspeed radiator, hoses, and a coolant flush, all completed within the past 10, 000 km.
Camshaft seals, crankshaft seal, and rear main seal attended to.
Oil pan re-sealed while the engine was removed for the paint job.
Injectors thoroughly cleaned and equipped with new seals.
PVC breather replaced, among other maintenance tasks performed to ensure optimal performance.
Engine mounts upgraded to a 40% stiffer variant compared to the OEM ones.

Steering:
Professional rebuild of the steering rack.
Installation of improved, firmer bushes for the steering rack to enhance handling.
Replacement of inner and outer track rod ends and boots.
Power steering fluid flushed, promoting optimal steering response.

Suspension:
One-year-old MaisterR Sportive coilovers, meticulously installed to refresh the suspension system and enhance drivability. The intention was not to excessively lower the car, but rather to improve its overall performance.
Replacement of all drop links.

Drivetrain:
Originally an automatic, this car underwent a successful manual conversion, a decision I am immensely grateful for. The conversion involved the installation of a new OEM Mazda master and slave cylinder, connected by a braided line. The necessary hardware was sourced from a 2004 model 1. 6 NB, encompassing the clutch pedal, brake pedal, flywheel, and starter motor. Additionally, an Exide clutch with approximately 20, 000 km of usage was fitted, accompanied by a shifter rebuild kit containing all the required seals.

Differential:
The Fuji differential originally equipped in the car was replaced with a low-mileage Torsen 4. 1 differential, known for its superior performance. The replacement unit was meticulously cleaned, re-sealed, and mounted using 40% stiffer Torsen mounts, matching the upgraded engine mounts. Furthermore, axle seals and CV boots were replaced to prevent any leaks due to age. Brand-new OEM Mazda mounting plates were also installed.

Brakes:
All discs and pads have been replaced, with the front discs and pads upgraded to EBC Redstuff for improved braking performance. New discs and pads were also installed in the rear. The near-side front caliper, which had a minor leak, was recently replaced to ensure symmetry with the off-side front. Additionally, a full brake fluid flush will be conducted.

Tyres:
The tyres are relatively new, with approximately 8, 000 km of usage. Sized at 190/ 50/ 15, they are Yokohama Advan Fleva V701, specifically the 195/ 50 R15 V (82) variant. These exceptional tyres inspire confidence in all conditions, delivering superb steering response and phenomenal braking performance. Furthermore, their low noise levels contribute to a pleasurable driving experience.

Exhaust:
Equipped with a quality cat-back exhaust system, this car strikes the perfect balance between enhancing the driving experience with an invigorating sound while avoiding excessive noise!.

Chassis Braces:
The installation of an Ultra Racing Front Upper Chassis Brace has not only transformed the car's appearance but also greatly enhanced the driving experience. Furthermore, an Ultra Racing Rear Lower Brace has been added, further augmenting the car's handling capabilities!The depth of my love for this car transcends mere words. It represents my first automotive endeavor, a quest that spanned four years until I found the perfect match. The car was acquired from Leeds, discovered on a website that still lingers in my memory vividly, as if it were a mere hour ago. Absorbing every detail from the listing and marveling at the captivating photos, I fervently wished for this car to become mine. And, in a matter of days or perhaps weeks, my wish became a tangible reality as I eagerly awaited its arrival.

For any true automobile enthusiast, it is an indescribable sensation—one that continues to resonate within me each time I cast my gaze upon this cherished vehicle. Throughout my journeys across the United Kingdom, it never faltered or disappointed me. I even utilized its capacious trunk to load my tools and perform roadside services, assisting broken-down or in-need vehicles. The joy I derived from this experience surpassed any other.

I recall one particular occasion when I drove to Leeds for an extraordinary event—a gathering aiming to establish a world record for the most MX5's assembled in a single day. Remarkably, my car played a significant role, as it was registered twice on Quinones' world record. The treasured photographs from that event serve as undeniable proof of this remarkable feat.

Now, you may wonder why I am parting ways with a car that has been the source of so much dedication, financial investment, time, and effort. The answer, albeit simple, carries a tinge of melancholy. This car has been and still remains my eternal companion, loved beyond measure, brimming with countless memories. It pains me to the core as I pen this listing.

However, life is unfolding in unexpected ways. The imminent arrival of my first child and the pressing need for funds to support a new business venture initiated over the past few months have compelled me to make this difficult decision.
