TRACTION 7C CABRIOLET 1935 du 27/ 06/ 1935 N° Série : 064226 N° Moteur : 00813 du 08/ 05/ 1935 N° Boite : E 6887 du 05/ 06/ 1935 Rare and magnificent Citroen Traction Cabriolet of 1935. A car which has the particularity of having most of its original structural elements: engine, gearbox, pedals, front and rear axle, steering... which is quite rare on these models.
The engine's accessories are identical: cylinder head, carburettor pipe, water pump, gearbox linkage, petrol inlet connector, etc. Listed among the 1, 500 or so versions 7 produced, it has its certificate of authenticity from Citroën. A meticulous search enabled us to track down a number of previous owners, all great enthusiasts. For a long time, in the 1980s, it belonged to a large private collection in Ariège, and a meticulous restoration by a specialist in Grenoble was carried out in 2013 by one of these former owners. The car was completely stripped down and given a new paint job. The engine was taken out and opened up for a complete restoration (new liners, pistons and connecting rod rings). The gearbox has been stripped, overhauled and the bearings changed. The clutch is new. The starter motor has been overhauled. The braking system has also been overhauled. We also have photos of the car before restoration, as well as a photo file of the work carried out. An authentic convertible, complete with all its original main components, in near-competitive condition. A genuine collector's item. Collector's registration. Visible by appointment only.
