Veitura is pleased to offer for sale this lovely Citroën Traction 11B from 1955.
It has belonged to the same owner since 2001.
In 1995, the mechanics were fully overhauled by a professional, engine rebuilt, gearbox also.
Since the current owner bought this Traction, maintenance has been carried out as it should be each year to be able to enjoy it on outings or spins.
As you will have guessed, mechanically it’s a very sound car; the ignition was redone recently, it starts at a quarter turn, idles well and I haven’t noticed any knocking noises or the like. It runs like clockwork.
Recently the wheel cylinders have been replaced, it brakes perfectly, the handbrake cable is also new.
Gears shift smoothly (it’s a three-speed and runs on 6 volts).
The tyres and inner tubes are recent.
It has an interior in its original condition but exceptionally clean, no tears or other visible flaws.
The seats are comfortable and everything works inside the cabin.
Finally the body is in its original state, there is superficial rust on the sills, on the right-hand side around the rear wheel, perhaps just replacing the lower 30 cm of the sill, but it’s really nothing serious. It’s 70 years old, after all. ;)
Underneath is very clean; the car has been sleeping in a dry garage for 25 years.
The front wings have blistering under the paint, and a few marks of small dents are visible on the front and rear wings. It’s a car that runs and roams our roads. ;)
Originally it was grey, and it was repainted in 1995 in this blue shade.
The chrome trim is in good condition. Perhaps one could find wheel covers; the ones fitted are slightly chipped.
The owner had a "Carte Grise Collection" issued four years ago, and he has a complete file on his car (professional invoices, parts purchases, etc...).
The asking price for this lovely Traction 11B is €14, 000 to be able to drive a mythical classic with reliable and well-maintained mechanicals. :)
