The final development of the Mk2, the 240/ 340 range was introduced in September 1967 with the 240 still available until early 1969
Differences from the Mk2 were mainly cosmetic with reshaped rear bodywork, slimmer bumpers and Ambla upholstery
The 240 engine now had a straight-port cylinder head, twin HS6 SU carburettors and offered 133bhp at 5, 500rpm and 100mph
With its long-term owner since 1994 and in the family for circa 25 years previously
Originally white, the car was refinished in black many years ago although now showing signs of wear and would benefit from some TLC
Black Ambla interior with traditional polished wood veneers in need of refreshment
It received national prominence as a General Election car where it was used with loudspeakers during campaigns, most notably with the late Tony Benn and Michael Foot
Good service history within its current ownership including circa £7, 000 recommissioning in 2013, and clutch replacement earlier this year and a recent gearbox change at Jaguar specialist
