This car was bought by the current owner in Feb 2018 and is just one of a dozen or so Jaguar XJS/ XJS derived models he owns.

Background of the owner.
I am selling this car along with two other XJSs and a Lister Storm for a previous client. Further details on the other cars you’ll find listed on my website, should they also be of interest.
It’s fair to say that the owner is a ‘Jag man’. The cars I’m selling for him only represent a few of his collection and if you look on the last page of the ‘For Sale’ section on my website you’ll see one of his previous cars, a Lister Le Mans. One of several he owns.
As you’ll see from that car, he is a highly skilled engineer and is very comfortable and knowledgeable when it comes to working on any XJS-derived models having fully rebuilt and modernised many of them over the past 20yrs.
Car Details.
This is a car he bought in 2018, but due to other projects, and selling his business he hasn’t had time to do anything with this one. However, he bought it knowing it was fundamentally a solid car, as you’ll see from the underside photos. The paintwork isn’t perfect, and it would benefit from some work to the top of the bonnet as there are a few paint imperfections that can be seen with a keen eye. Only cosmetic, no rust or corrosion in the scuttle area. The roof front edge in my opinion does need attention due to a few small blemishes and light corrosion on the leading edge. Overall the car presents well and the paint blemishes are cosmetic at this point and none of it is a pressing issue, the car is very useable as it sits and can be improved upon over time. I am as always very critical and just want to be as fair as possible in my assessment of any car I'm advertising for sale.
The engine bay is tidy other than a few first signs of corrosion on the inner edge of the N/ S wing. Again, nothing awful, but something to catch now. Photos of the areas mentioned are shown in the advert.
The interior is in very good order as can be seen in the photos.
Service History.
The car comes with a good service history and a detailed spreadsheet of its ownership story. It will be serviced by the owner or by a Jaguar specialist prior to sale, whichever you prefer.
Since 2008 the car has only covered some 5, 500 miles and has been stored mainly, which has helped the structure of the car to remain in such good order.
Market Values.. and personal view.
XJSs are very much on the up, and you’ll find plenty of independent articles that confirm that, so cars like this are a safe place to have your money, the days of a cheap XJS are certainly over, with the early and late examples being sought after now.
From a personal point of view, as a man who grew up watching Simon Templar in his white Pre-HE XJS (I still very clearly recall getting the Corgi 1/ 36th scale toy in my Christmas stocking back in around 1978) I have always had a soft spot for these.
Viewing/ Collection
