MYC 390D has just finished production in our workshops. An upgraded and refined performance Healey for the road or grand tour with many of our refinements and modernisations. New zero miles restoration with exterior paint, interior, upgrades and build by Rawles Motorsport. More photos coming soon.
1966 Austin Healey 3000 MkIII BJ8 Phase II RHD finished in Healey Blue Metallic with Ivory Duotone paint by Rawles Motorsport elapsing a total of 212 hours. Full leather interior in Navy Blue with Navy edge bound carpet set, fitted by our master craftsmen. New Chrome 72 spoke wire wheels wearing Michelin XAS tyres.
Engine
Original 29K series engine with 2” SU carburettors. Engine fully rebuilt to ultimate road specification with roller rockers, upgraded and weight matched pistons, fully balanced internals, fast road camshaft, gas flowed head, polished 6 branch tubular manifold, stainless sports exhaust, unleaded fuel conversion, large core aluminium radiator, plastic fan, alternator conversion and more. Original gearbox, overdrive and axle fully rebuilt with 3. 5 axle for improved cruising. Aluminium fuel tank.
Suspension & Brakes
Fully rebuilt with Rawles Motorsport specification Bilstein telescopic dampers, new standard BJ8 springs, lowered suspension, upgraded front anti-roll bar, polybushes, fully rebuilt steering box, 4 piston front brakes with slotted and drilled discs.
Interior
Full leather interior including seating, dashboard and console, door cards, rear quarters, and kick panels in Connolly smooth grain Navy blue leather. Full Dynamat sound and heat insulation to cockpit. Period La Carreara wood steering wheel. Restored original dashboard. Mohair roof and hood bag currently in progress.
Other - LED headlights fitted
Sold completed and tested with new MOT including British Motor Heritage Trust Certificate of Authenticity and restoration documentation (photographs and timesheets).
