Another Classic BMW Airhead just arrived.
A very honest Airhead that has come from long term ownership, and due to the owners failing health, has been garaged and unused for around 4 years.
After a re commissioning, the bike is running beautifully, and has new fork stanchions, seals, battery and starter motor. Unusually for one of these tourers, the paintwork is mainly original ( I think one side panel has been painted) and is in genuinely lovely condition. Compressions check out even and strong, and she’s charging well.
There are a number of nice extras fitted, which include full factory three piece QD luggage system, full (undented) stainless steel exhaust system, auxiliary clock and voltmeter, and a Garmin Zumo sat nav. (although im Buggered if i can get it to switch on!). There’s even most of a factory toolkit under the seat.
