Always fancied a vintage motor but don’t want to do a load of work, “the one who must be obeyed” won’t sit on worn out, saggy, cracked and torn seats, not got a massive budget but don’t want to look like you’ve just come from Steptoe’s scrap yard, read on and discover the delights of this little gem, if you like what you read and see, we’ll even deliver it to your door at no extra cost.
Well presented, great fun, 1937 Austin Seven Ruby, it has a lovely smart red interior that anyone will happily climb into and good coachwork with a deep shine to the paint, its ready to admire and enjoy and you won’t need a re-mortgage to buy it. Came through the trade via a deceased estate, we have revived it after it’s had a rest period and it’s all running and operating as intended and has clearly been cherished, everything very well maintained and in good serviceable order.
The pictures say it all, the car has massive amounts of charm, you can’t drive it without a grin on your face, a smile every mile guaranteed and in the current warm weather with the screen tilted, windows down it’s as good as any convertible. All very solid underneath, see the video we show every bit of the underside.
No untoward bangs, clangs or rattles as you move along, gears select easily with a nice sharp clutch, 4 speed gearbox, brakes work well (see video), good handbrake, the lights work and modern indicators have been fitted as well as the original traffictors which all work, as does the horn and wiper.
We have the current modern logbook, HPI all clear printout and it’s still got the correct number plate as issued new on the 4th April 1937, sadly we have no other history to go with the car and the low asking price reflects this.
It presents well enough and will be admired wherever you go, paint finish is suited to the car, it’s not immaculate, has a little age, close inspection will find the odd blemish and imperfection, it’s smart enough to enjoy and easy enough to improve if desired.
We have fitted a new battery, flushed out the fuel and it came to life with little trouble, we’d advise a good service and check over before you head off down the road as it’s not been used for some time, the carb will need cleaning and re-setting and probably a good idea to flush the coolant and add fresh antifreeze before winter. It’s not concours, but it’s not 15 grand either.
Have some fun with your savings, you bank manager isn’t doing you any favours with your boring ISA, tick the box off your bucket list and own a vintage car, won’t be worth any less when you’ve had your enjoyment these cars are currently excellent value for money.

DELIVERY
To save the hassle of sorting it out, at the full asking price, we have included delivery of this car to any UK mainland address within 350 miles (by road, not as the crow flies) of our base near Carlisle. Other destination will receive a discount pro rata to 350 miles. We will bring it direct to your door on our own transport.

All viewings are exclusively by timed APPOINTMENT ONLY, we do not have a showroom or display area, items may have to be brought from our secure storage to view and advance notice will be required.
