Ducati 900SS bought by me in June 1997.
This is a genuine one owner bike with paperwork to prove. Purchased from W. M. Snell in Alton.
All standard apart from the tinted screen and addition of a yellow headlight protection cover (attached by velcro pads so easily removed if needed).
Very good condition. Some of the grey paint has flaked off the crankcases but I have seen most if not all do this. Why they painted them rather than (e. g.) anodising I have no idea!
The mileage is genuine and it was last dealer serviced at 14, 561m in 2010. Previous MOTs and service records intact.
Last MOT was 2013 after which it was taken off the road and SORNed.
Carefully covered and dry stored since. Fuel tank drained, battery removed and engine over-filled with fresh oil.
I have just fitted a new fuel filter but before using the bike will obviously need some light re-commissioning. It will need:
New tyres, cam belts, battery & chain. Plus brake fluid and probably pads (just due to age).
A lovely bike that I just don't think I will ride any more as I have others. A future classic, especially being only one-owner.
Comes with a genuine fitted and padded red Ducati indoor cover. I previously had a 750SS and loved it so upgraded to this. Fantastic bike to ride, easy and forgiving. I have done several trips to France and Belgium with friends and this bike out of all of them never ever let me down.
