EXTERIOR
A real Q car in its Saloon form, this UK only ‘Special Edition’ was available in only Brilliant white or Monte Carlo blue, the split being even with 16 cars finished in each colour. Produced as part of BMWs individual program the car got the internal code KA370 and featured gloss black trim details as part of its package. Like all the M3 Saloons its appearance is understated with only the 19 inch alloys, quad exhaust and subtle bonnet bulge the giveaways to this undercover M Power legend.
Produced in 2011 but first registered in 2012 (61 Plate) this M3 is an LCI car and was one of the last saloons to be built as part of its ‘Special Edition’ run. Finished as 1 of the 16 in Individual Monte Carlo Blue, the bodywork is fantastic all round while still sporting its original factory paint throughout having covered just 34k miles from new.
INTERIOR
Complementing the bright Individual Monte Carlo Blue paintwork the cabin of this ‘Special Edition’ M3 is upholstered in luxurious Black Novillo leather (the only interior colour option available), which spans the seats, doors, tunnel and lower dash while Carbon trim adorns the dashboard and doors – free from any unsightly scrapes or scuffs.
Enhancing the luxury appeal, this E90 comes with Professional Navigation, DAB, Bluetooth, heated memory seats, cruise control and the sought after Harman Kardon stereo making it an ideal daily driver. Further to this there is plenty of rear leg room as well as through load system and split folding rear seats for increased usability.
ENGINE & TRANSMISSION
Revving to nearly 8, 500 rpm the E90’s atmospheric V8 is the masterpiece at the centre of the M3’s appeal. The last naturally aspirated engine to be fitted to an M car it posses a character missing from its modern counterparts, with an instantaneous response and thunderous V8 roar under load. Switchable driving modes also allow the driver to adapt the engine to suit conditions, with the M button allowing pre-programming of the traction control settings whilst tightening throttle response.
Paired to BMW’s 7-Speed DCT gearbox (the only option available as part of its KA370 designation) the E90 M3 makes for a formidable driving machine, seamlessly matching the fast revving V8 for instantaneous changes.
WHEELS, TYRES & BRAKES
Featured with all ‘Special Editions’ are Gloss black 19 inch double-spoke M alloy wheels which present in fantastic condition, free from any signs of curbing, and are wrapped in matching Michelin Pilot Sport 4S rubber all round.
The brakes are in good working order and do a fantastic job of keeping the M3 in check.
HISTORY FILE
This very special limited edition Individual M3 Saloon was first registered in March of 2012 by Berry Heathrow – one of the last UK V8 Saloons produced and registered. The car has been extremely well looked after, sporting a spotless interior, its original exterior paintwork and has enjoyed a thorough service routine from new.
