motodrome are pleased to offer this 1990 Land Rover 90 V8 County Station Wagon 6 seater.
This is an increasingly-rare original V8 County Station Wagon not a conversion from a lesser model or a van, and this one, registered January 1990, is from the last year they were sold. .
If you know your Defenders, you’ll know that the factory 3. 5 V8 petrol models offer an enhanced driving experience with the addictive V8 sound track, mountains of torque, and better performance than the contemporary diesel models. Since 2016, the ‘special’ (£150K plus) Defenders that Land Rover have built have all been V8 powered rather than diesel, and there’s a good reason why – they’re much more fun than the diesels. .
Being a County Station Wagon 6 seater, , it has the usual County package including power steering, sunroof, alpine lights, full headlining, cloth seat trim, centre cubbybox, carpeting (in the correct grey), tinted glass, colour coded wheelarch eyebrows, white ‘Rostyle’ wheels (shod with a matching set of 4 BF Goodrich AT tyres) , and rear step. This one is further fitted with black front A bar, black chequerplate to the bonnet, wingtops and modesty covers, towpack, more modern stereo with USB port, rear seat belts for all 4 seats, and mudflaps all round.
For taller drivers, it’s also got seat risers on both front seats and a bulkhead lowering kit, making it more comfortable for those (like me) that have excess height.
Mechanically we think it’s standard, with the exception of header exhaust manifolds and K&N air filters on the correct 24G-prefix V8
Odometer reading 129000 miles
It comes with MOT to June 2024 (no advisories) and 6 months warranty on sale.
We have the original owners handbook, and 2 sets of keys.
On test it performed very well indeed.
On our own website, you’ll find our usual 2 videos: a walkaround appraisal, and driving impressions, which form part of the description.
