Hello and welcome to the ad for my BMW 318 Design Edition convertible.

Background:
I bought this car ~1 year ago with the original intention of doing a straight 6 engine conversion. Whilst loving every minute of ownership, with so many great comments about the car every time I drive it, something else has now caught my eye and so with regret the BMW needs to go to make room.

Overview:
- BMW 318 Design Edition
- 1 of 200 cars
- 1st registered in 1993
- Neon blue
- 113655 miles (miles may rise very slightly in the event of good weather!)

Exterior:
- Professional respray and light restoration in 2021 (car is solid with no rust since restoration completion)
- Genuine BBS body kit fitted
- Genuine Apex Arc8 17 inch alloys with Michelin PS4s all round (rims and tires in as-new condition)
- BC coil overs fitted ~1 year ago
- Xenon headlights conversion
- Private plate B6SGO can be included in sale (depending on sale price)
- Convertible roof recently re-dyed and waterproofed (looks like new)
- Some stone chips to front bumper but otherwise in fantastic cosmetic condition, as you’d expect from a car recently resprayed

Interior:
- Recaro Alcantara front and rear seats and door cards
- Genuine BBS steering wheel
- Genuine BBS gear stick
- Electric mirrors, windows and central locking (all working)
- Interior in great condition (dash has no cracks!)

History:
Documented service history supported by a whole bunch of invoices and MOT certificates and backed up by a fully stamped service book. The car has been maintained as follows:
1993: Running in service @ 1208 miles
1993: Oil service @ 5, 539 miles
1994: Inspection 1 @ 12, 898 miles
1995: Oil service @ 19, 497 miles
1996: Inspection 2 @ 26, 169 miles
1997: Oil service @ 32, 825 miles
1998: Inspection 1 @ 41, 771 miles
1999: Oil service @ 52, 158 miles
2001: Inspection 1 @ 59, 319 miles
2002: Oil service @ 65, 027 miles
2004: Inspection 2 @ 79, 014 miles
2005: Oil service @ 80, 491 miles
2008: Oil service @ 85, 112 miles
2011: Inspection 1 @ mileage not specified
2011: Oil service @ 89, 890 miles
2012: Inspection 2 @ 96, 700 miles
2014: Oil service @ 101, 093 miles
2016: Oil service @ 101, 489 miles
2019: Inspection 1 @ 109, 995 miles
2020: Oil service @ 110, 688 miles
2022: Inspection 2 @ 111, 765 miles
2023: Oil service @ 113, 580 miles
2024: Inspection 1 due in September

Right now the car is currently SORNd for the winter, but I will tax it to allow prospective buyers to go for a test drive (afraid it will need to be me driving).

MOT is due in March. Depending on sales price agreed, I can put the car thru a new MOT prior to sale.

Next service is due in September. Again, depending on sales price agreed, I can get the car serviced prior to sale for extra peace of mind.

When it comes to valuing the car, I recognise that this is an imperfect science. In my advertised price I have taken into account the rarity of the base car, the restoration work, the BBS body kit and the fact that the alloys and coil overs cost in the region of £3k (also the Apex arc 8s are pretty much now discontinued in this stud pattern format). I believe my price is fair but am open to sensible negotiation in the spirit of ending a deal where we’re both satisfied.

Thanks for taking the time to read thru. Any questions welcome.
