Quite a few options ticked considering it was an SE. Bmw torch, Tire pressure monitoring system, bmw business 6 CD changer and tape player, electronic climate control. Steering wheel functions plus many more I may have missed.
Just had thermostat housing, water pump, new auxiliary belt, new air con belt, coolant flush and refill with correct blue bmw coolant. Air con works. Good MPG on a run.
Spark plugs, oil filter, air filter, oil and pollen filters in last service. Rocker gasket was replaced last year but has a slight weep every now and then which is very common on every bmw. Has also had a new premium brand battery.
Drives well, engine and gearbox are very smooth. Comfortable and luxurious
No knocks or bangs from suspension. Everything works on the car! Even the tape player and 6 CD changer in the boot
Does require tyre valves changing as they are aluminium and have corroded. I will include a set of 4 in the sale. Still drives fine and all tyres hold pressure. Sometimes this triggers the TPMS light to come on if it loses a small amount of tire pressure. Airbag light on due to seat mat occupancy sensor, very common fault, included is an emulator but will need Turing off with a bmw scanner.
A few spots of rust here and there but it is all cosmetic and the car is 23 years old. The jacking points and sills are solid and not rusty like most e39s. I have had these scrupulously checked by the MOT tester.
Well looked after car, been extremely reliable and I have driven all around the country in this car with no issues!
