EQUIPMENT

EXTERIOR

Well presented in timeless granite silver grey this is a handsome and extremely rare E34 Touring. The paintwork remains to a high standard throughout with only a few minor defects and blemishes to note on close inspection. The 15-inch BBS alloys stunning following a full refurbishment, and shod in new tyres. New headlights have been fitted along with new bumpers trims and door trims/ weather strips.

INTERIOR

Open the door and you’re greeted by an interior that looks to have seen only half the mileage. The tasteful black leather upholstery has worn exceptionally well. An M-Tech 1 Sport leather steering wheel has been sourced and re-trimmed in BMW leather to provide a retro BMW feel, and is great in hand. Looking closer around the dash and centre console all the plastics and switchgear remain in tip-top condition, again with no signs of heavy use. Nicely spec’d with the classic Touring double sunroof, on-board computer and electric windows all round, the interior further benefits from a period-correct radio upgrade and a digital temperature gauge. The entire headliner has been replaced and that is no mean feat on a Touring.

ENGINE & TRANSMISSION

The engine bay is in super condition. A cherished example, the car has always been maintained to a high standard, which is evident not only from its comprehensive service history but also from its lovely condition inside and out. None of the plastics or engine covers show any major wear and of course there are no signs of accident damage or previous poor repair work. A recent service has tended to all fluids and the car has passed its MOT in March 2024 with no issues.

The 525i M50 engine retains all that six-cylinder smoothness that BMWs are so well known for. And, boasting the excellent ZF 4 speed autobox, the car is an absolute pleasure to drive and is remarkably quick on kickdown – bear in mind this engine appeared in the 325i.

HISTORY

The E34 Touring is an extremely rare and appreciating classic - a non-M5 version in this showcar condition is almost impossible to find. I like my BMWs as clean stock examples and this one is now in that shape. This car is full of character with classic BMW styling and has enjoyed significant expenditure in my ownership such that it is a turn-key example for the new owner to enjoy.

The car spent the majority of its life with its original owner since 1992, and has been with BMW enthusiasts before I acquired it. I am a serial classic BMW owner and can supply images of cars I’ve owned to illustrate I only buy / own clean and well looked after examples. The car has remote central locking/ keyless entry and two original keys. The car is being run so the mileage will increase.

It comes with two original keys and the remote fobs for keyless entry. Private registration not included in the sale, and the mileage will creep as the car is in local use. The car comes with a lever arch file packed with original BMW documentation and receipts that show this has been well cared for.
