1983 Ford Cortina 1. 6L. This is a RHD Import from South Africa which is extremely solid and original. All import duties have been paid, the NOVA declaration has been done and the UK reg has been applied for. We expect to receive this in about a weeks time. If it arrives we will fit the plates and update the advert.

Body - Mk5 Cortina which is very solid and original. its never been welded and is completely solid underneath. Basically its solid throughout. Paintwork looks pretty original as well. Panel gaps are good. Few minor marks picked up over the years. Couple of pin dents on drivers wing. Dent under the moulding on passenger side front door. African spec cars have full chrome bumpers rather than the plastic end caps. the front bumper has a bit of a twist behind the number plate. Small chunk missing out the bottom of the grille.

Mechanics - Very quiet 1. 6 crossflow which starts first time. Original 4 speed gearbox. Good clutch and brakes. Car starts runs and drives and feels quite tight. Carb may need adjusted due to the different climate. As with any old car will need a good checkover before using in anger.

Interior - All totally original and very clean and tidy. No nasty rips or tears. One small split in material next to drivers headrest but very very minor.

Wheels - UK spec steels with good tyres and chrome trim rings.
