Part exchange vehicle
Every so often a car comes in that is not bright and shiny, but is actually a lot better than most. This MG is one of those cars. The previous owner carried out a major bare shell restoration a few years ago including new floors, wings and much more. It has all been photographed and this album comes with the car.
It is absolutely sound everywhere we have looked, no nasty plate repairs, no heavy under seal covering anything untoward.
Mechanically it is faultless. It drives better than many other midgets we have driven. It has had a reconditioned engine at some point. There are no rattles, no oil burning and no transmission whines
As most people will know being a 1978 car, it would have been a rubber bumper, however the owner has obviously removed these and converted the front wings to that of an early car.
The paintwork is not al shiny and perfect and if that’s what you want, then you will need to paint it, however there is no signs of rust anywhere on the body, all the arches are lovely, sills all good etc
This mg is ready to jump in and drive away. I would not hesitate to drive it any distant. A cracking little open top for not a lot of money
