This beautifully presented example was manufactured in 1969 and comes with an impressive history dating back to just a few years old. The Lotus has been superbly maintained throughout its life as highlighted by the history file and whilst it has had renovation work at stages over its life, its very clear this car has never been left to deteriorate or fall back to a position where it requires a major full rebuild. This has been a well maintained, reliable driver’s car throughout its lifetime and the host of invoices show the car has been maintained with no expense spared.
This very sharp example has arrived with us in beautiful order and in recent years has been treated to a top class full re-paint. The car has a striking presence, the colour is stunning and with a gleaming, high quality paint finish this Elan really does create interest. The Elan presents superbly, the underbody is structurally excellent and the upholstery has a lovely honest, original feel and look to it. Chrome work is all very impressive, the car features the ‘Black Badges' and several thousand pounds have been spent on the stunning alloy wheels including new hubs.
On the road the car feels tight, responsive and offers a fantastic driving experience. The engine is super fit, its strong, offers impressive performance and with smooth gear changes this is a glorious car on the road.
