Registration number DA 9995
Frame number OS304
Engine number 3995S/ 229
Original model 11, 500cc machine used by the factory team riders in sprints and speed trials
First registered in the name of John Marston Ltd, Sunbeam land, Wolverhampton on the 26th May 1925
This machine differs from the standard model 11 Sprint models in that the cylinder barrel is machined from solid rather than cast and is fitted with the original E. I. C magneto
Standard Model 11 Sprint machines were made in very limited numbers and the Sunbeam Club say that less than 20 remain in existence
It is believed that this motorcycle as a works machine maybe the only one of it’s type remaining
Purchased 65 years ago by the present owner’s father, Bill Page, a well renowned authority and specialist on Sunbeam racing motorcycles
Bill totally restored the bike to original specification and used it competitively for some years before passing it on to his son
The quality of the restoration is second to none and the bike is in perfect running order
This represents an opportunity to acquire an extremely rare early factory racing motorcycle
